He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Burns (Jones); his children, Carlos Burns (Melissa) of Indianapolis, Toba Castro (Joe) of Springfield, Tara Bell (Andrew), Julian Jr. Burns (Katie) of Mount Vernon and Hannah Burns of Springfield, Illinois; his grandchildren, Dejiour, Mahalia, Destinee, Andresha, Olivia, Jaryn, Caleah, Carter, Marktavion, Markeya and Adria; his great grandchild Deion Demond; his siblings, Mildred Burns of Phoenix, Joseph Burns (Cathy) of Mount Vernon, Earice Burns (Necia) of Cleveland, Earlando Burns of Phoenix, Areta Cummings (Floyd) of Douglasville, Georigia, Darren Burns of Centralia, Brenda Walker of Brownsburg, Carol Jefferson (Wayne) of Vincennes and Dorothy Holloway of Vincennes, Indiana; and his niece Ava Burns of Phoenix, Arizona. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
