It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Colbert of Mount Vernon, Illinois, born in Equality, Illinois, who passed away on April 24, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thornton Colbert and Alice Colbert (Seats); his wife Norma Colbert (Etheridge); and his siblings, Roberta Barnett and Emmett Colbert.
He is survived by: his children, Glenda Sigwerth, Vickie Schulte (Bill) and Eric Colbert (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Michael Sigwerth (Hannah), Brandon Schulte (Lea), Whitney Waldman (Brett), Tanner Colbert, Taylor Colbert and Erika Colbert; his great grandchildren, Alexis Chaudoin, Elaina Schulte, Levin Schulte, Madison Waldman, Parker Waldman, Michael Sigwerth, Mason Sigwerth, Brianna Sigwerth, Bella Colbert, Elora Colbert and Melody Colbert; his nephews, Larry Barnett (Jenny) and Lynn Barnett (Geri); and his niece Pam Gaskins.
