He was predeceased by: his parents, John Kennon and Reatha Hayes (Steward); his wife Judy Hayes (Morgan); his brothers-in-law, Larry Flota and Fred Reeker; and his brother Jim Hayes.
He is survived by: his children, Kenny Hayes of Mount Vernon, Illinois and Kiowana Ferguson; his grandchildren, Dustin Ferguson (Kristin) of Mount Vernon, Amanda Kriese (Grant) of Pacific and John Hayes of Mount Vernon, Illinois; his great grandchildren, Emma, Rylie and Colton Kriese; his siblings, Randy Hayes (Vicki) of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Judy Flota of Mount Vernon and Shirley Reeker; and his siblings-in-law, Shirley Hayes, David and Becky Burton of Mount Vernon, Illinois. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
