We are sad to announce that on December 14, 2022, at the age of 74, Joe G. Wilks of Mount Vernon, Illinois, born in Du Quoin, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father William A. Wilks; and his former wife Darla Wilson. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis L. Wilks (Hilliard); his sons, William Joseph Wilks (BJ) of Mount Vernon and Jonathan Wilks of Mount Vernon; his sister Janet Marie Kirk (Danny) of Du Quoin; his niece Sara Kirk (Kendell); and his nephew Mandan Kirk.
