He was predeceased by: his father Lewis Morgan; and his wife Betty Louise Morgan (Brown). He is survived by: his son Kenny Morgan (Susan) of Opdyke, Illinois; his grandchildren, Bryan Morgan of Mount Vernon, Brad Morgan (Erin) of Alma and Shelby Morgan of Opdyke, Illinois; his great grandchildren, Danielle Morgan of Mount Vernon, Brianna Morgan of Mount Vernon and Braylee Morgan of Opdyke; his great great grandchild Waylon Tate of Mount Vernon; and his siblings, Rob Morgan (Patsy), Charlie Morgan (Debbie) and Linda Smith (Kenny). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made in Jim's honor to South Hickory Hill Cemetery.
