It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry McCracken (Mount Vernon, Illinois), born in East Saint Louis, Illinois, who passed away on June 30, 2019, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph McCracken and Hazel Alberta McCracken (Lively); his siblings, Joe McCracken, Tommy McCracken and Jeanie Olsson; and his parents-in-law, Howard and Lillian Jones (Nash).
He is survived by: his wife Janice "Jan" Marie Jones; his children, Daniel Lee McCracken of Mount Vernon, Illinois and Pam Weems (Kim Bonifacius) of Woodlawn, Illinois; his grandchildren, Cory Weems, Jessica, Melisa Weems, Joey and Jessie McCracken; his great grandchildren, Gage, Hailey and Hunter; his sister Betty Delores Williamson of O'Fallon, Illinois; and his brother-in-law Gene Olsson of Myrtle Beach. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church or the American Heart Association.
