Sodders (Mount Vernon, Illinois), born in Dahlgren, Illinois, who passed away on March 2, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul E. Sodders and Dena Irene Sodders (Witters); his son-in-law Brian Edwards; his siblings-in-law, Mark Lowery, Gary Flanagan and Phyllis Flanagan; and his parents-in-law, Onis and Virginia Flanagan.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Sodders (Flanagan); his children, Kim Abner (Clint) of Springfield and Kristy Riggan (David) of O'Fallon, Illinois; his grandchildren, Blake Edwards (Heather) of Mount Vernon, Kaleb Edwards (Amanda Clark) of Riverton, Seth Riggan of O'Fallon, Tanner Riggan of Columbia and Brooke Riggan of O'Fallon, Illinois; his great grandchildren, Addison, Austin, Abriella and Amelia; his siblings, Dolores Fally (Larry) of Mount Vernon, Joyce Lowery of Bluford, Karen Burwell (Ancil) of Mount Vernon and Jack Sodders (Saundra) of Mount Vernon, Illinois; his siblings-in-law, Judy Knolhoff (Steve), Tammy Payne (David) and Mike Flanagan (Ramona); and his close friends, Jim and Shirley Riggan. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorials may be made in Jerry's honor to Winstanley Baptist Church or the Jefferson County Historical Society.
