He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard W. Wheeler and Wilma Jean Wheeler (Sledge); his brother Danny Wheeler; his daughter-in-law Maggie Wheeler; and his father-in-law Ross Poston.
He is survived by: his wife Tammy Wheeler (Poston); his sons, Greg Wheeler (Jen Griffith) of Energy and Nick Wheeler (Talia Mays) of Columbia, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Samantha Leneave (Brandon), Aidan Mays, Lex Wheeler, Soren Mays-Wheeler and Kazik Mays-Wheeler; his siblings, Bob Wheeler (Dianna) of Mount Vernon, Chuck Wheeler (Julie) of Mount Vernon and Carla Donoho (Ron) of Mount Vernon; his sister-in-law Lori Scott (Chuck) of Mount Vernon; his mother-in-law Dolores Poston of Mount Vernon; and his aunt Margie Carrell of Mount Vernon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
