With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janice Hamerski of Mount Vernon, Illinois, born in Duluth, Minnesota, who passed away on April 13, 2024 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Janice's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Janice has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordan Switzer and Margaret Switzer (Dreimaker); and her husband Steve Hamerski. She is survived by: her sons, Bob Hamerski (Susan Beard) of Mount Vernon and Gary Hamerski (Stephanie Rains) of Mount Vernon; her grandchildren, Phillip Hamerski (Veronica) of Chicago, Hannah Hamerski of Mount Vernon and Seth Hamerski of Mount Vernon; and her great grandchild Paxton Hamerski of Chicago. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made in Janice's honor to Saint Mary Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
