She was predeceased by: her parents, George Grissom and Cleo Mae Grissom (Reese); her brother George Reese Grissom; and her brother-in-law Gene Johnston. She is survived by: her husband Bill Johnston; her sons, Michael Johnston (Cindy) of Mount Vernon and Scott Johnston (Carla) of Mount Vernon, Illinois; her grandchildren, Kaitlin Church (Cody) of Carterville, Matt Johnston (Kourtney) of Dahlgren and Mallory Johnston (Kim Tate) of Mount Vernon, Illinois; her great grandchildren, Anson Johnston of Carterville, Riley Faye Johnston of Dahlgren and Rance Church of Carterville, Illinois; her cousins, Jan, Jo Ellen and Judy; and her siblings-in-law, Larry Johnston (Laura) of Mount Vernon, Illinois and Linda Geary (Bob) of Henderson, Kentucky. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
