He is survived by: his children, Michelle Wielt of Mount Vernon, Jamie Wielt of Mount Vernon and Tony Wielt (Julie) of Whittington, Illinois; his grandchildren, Alyssa Moore, Karley Shields, Connor Wielt, Kaylee Jackson (Wielt) and Lucas Wielt; his great grandchildren, Audrey Vohlken, Harrison Shields, Oliver Shields, Nora Shields and Marlee Jackson; his sister Sunny Newell (Wielt); his stepbrother Gale Smith; and his close friend Larry Hicks. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
