It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Howard Gaines of Mount Vernon, Illinois, who passed away on May 16, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his brother Robert L. Gaines. He is survived by: his brother Samuel Gaines; his cousin Samuel Harrington; his daughter Debbie Johnson (Robert); his grandson Courtney Bankhead; and his friends, Vergie Moore and Louise Monroe.
