It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen L Cooper of Mount Vernon, Illinois, born in Harviell, Missouri, who passed away on June 30, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Crunk and Marie Crunk (Chatman); her son James C. Cooper; her great grandchild Taylor Neleh Travis; and her siblings, Robert Crunk, Virgil Crunk, Jr., Edna Ellis, Velma Hoffman and Thelma Davis.
She is survived by: her spouse Thomas Dale "Tom" Cooper; her children, Chuck Branch (Debbie) of Kell, Alan Cooper (Joanie) of Mount Vernon, Julie Perrin (Kevin) of Mount Vernon and Laura Cooper (John Williams) of Mount Vernon; her daughter-in-law Kimberly Cooper of Wayne City, Illinois; and her grandchildren, Scott Storey, Curtis Branch, Caleb Branch, Hanah Cooper, Noah Cooper, Jeffrey Cooper, Michael Cooper, Cynthia Travis, Rachael Stanley, Brady McCowen and Dena McCowen. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Memorials may be made in Helen's honor to Oak Grove Cemetery.
