He was predeceased by: his parent Claude Echols (Alice Echols); his siblings, Eddie Echols and Brenda Smith; his niece Rebecca Hanes; and his brothers-in-law, Dannie Tinsley and Don Wessling.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Echols of Mt. Vernon; his siblings, Frank Echols of Houston, Jeff Echols of Mt. Vernon, Janet Hanes (Bill) of Mt. Vernon, Anita Thompson of Mt. Vernon, Loretta Karcher (Gail) of Mt. Vernon, Cindy Diller of Katy, Jane Douthit (Marty) of Dix and Nancy Wessling of Ashley; and his siblings-in-law, David Tinsley (Kathy) of Mt. Vernon and Debbie Tinsley of Dix. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews.
