He was predeceased by: his parents, George Patterson and Joyce Patterson (Moore). He is survived by: his wife Sandra Patterson (Hoffman); his daughters, Melissa Patterson of Alton and Amy Karabec (Ryan) of Mount Vernon, Illinois; his grandchildren, Malliyah Lusch, Alexis Rice, Allison Rice and Malyk Spiller; and his siblings, Richard Patterson (Sherry) of Centralia, Illinois, Donald Patterson (Sharon) of Centralia, Illinois and Sue Ann Hohman (Alan) of Carlyle, Illinois..
