Evalo Mays Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Evalo Mays (Mount Vernon, Illinois), who passed away on February 25, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her significant other Donald P Mays; her parents, Jewel Tate and Orville Tate; and her sister Betty Newberry. She is survived by: her daughters, Lisa Hart of Dix Illinois, Vicky Mays (Ronnie) of Dix and Debbie Eller (Ken) of Hindsboro; her grandchildren, Dwight Mooney Jr., Terri Lynn Mims, Brad Mooney (Christina), Brian Mooney, Nathan Mays, Jesse Hart (Paige) and Lindsey Keck (Rod); her great grandchildren, Dax, Colton, Clayton, Jack, Garret and Selena; and her great great grandchildren, Caden and Finley. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members as well as friends.

Memorials may be made in Evalo's honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
