She was predeceased by: her parents, Newell Sanders and Marie Sanders (Mattox); her husband Guy Donald Edwards; and her brothers, Marvin Sanders, Robert Sanders, Roy Sanders and Floyd Sanders.

She is survived by: her children, Donna Schweitzer (Michael) of Bloomington, Sandra Peddicord of Normal, Illinois and Kevin Edwards (Karen) of Lexington, Illinois; her grandchildren, Deanna Theobald, Rachel Schweitzer, Nathan Schweitzer, Benjamin Schweitzer, Eric Peddicord, Ashtin Edwards and Blake Edwards; her great grandchildren, Keagan, Emmersen, Asher and Declan; her siblings, Melvin Sanders (Dessie), Dwight Sanders (Rena), Charles Sanders (Sue), Glenn Sanders (Margie), Mildred Rapp (Robert) and Mary Capps; and her sisters-in-law, Barb Sanders, Wilma Sanders and Vickie Sanders.

Memorials may be made in Esther's honor to Freewill Baptist Church, St. Jude's Children's Hospital, or Shiners Hospitals for Children.
