She was predeceased by: her parents, Irvin Somers and Opal Somers (Dagg); her former husband Jack L. Johnson; her sons, Jeffery and David Johnson; and her siblings, Maxine Poston and Jack Somers.
She is survived by: her husband Allen Edwards; her son Chris Johnson (Sherry) of Mount Vernon, Illinois; her grandchildren, Molly Johnson of Saint Louis, Missouri, Jake Johnson of Mount Vernon and Holden Johnson of Saint Louis, Missouri; her great grandchild McKinley Johnson of Mount Vernon, Illinois; and her sisters, Lois Singleton of Largo and Marilyn Wootton of Largo, Florida. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made in Erma's honor to Logan Street Baptist Church Building Fund or Alzheimer's Association.
