He was predeceased by: his parents, Randal W. Bigham and Ellen Lorraine Bigham (Craig); and his sister Betty Jean. He is survived by: his wife Donna Kay Bigham (Sigwerth); his daughters, Crystal Senyshyn (John) of Crystal Lake, Cathy Doonan (Steve) of Sycamore and Carri Storrs (Mark) of Charlotte; his grandchildren, Alex Senyshyn of Crystal Lake, Caleb Senyshyn of Crystal Lake, Matthew Storrs of Charlotte, Sarah Crisman (Tim) of Naperville, Elizabeth Doonan of Sycamore, Katie Zielezinski (Kevin) of Sycamore, Merissa Atkinson (Nicklos) of Sycamore and Cindy Murphy (Ross) of Lexington, Kentucky; his great grandchildren, Brooklyn Murphy, Addison Murphy and Grace Crisman; and his sisters, Kaye Wilson (Jerry) of Flower Mound and Connie Webb (Randy) of Mount Vernon, Illinois. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was chairmen of the JCPenney Volunteer Foundation both in New York City and in the Dallas, (Plano) Cooperate Offices. Don was Founding Director of Rebuilding Neighborhoods Foundation Inc. in McKinney, Texas and was Founding Director and Charter Member of the McKinney, Texas Habitat for Humanity Inc for six years as President.
