It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald R. Mullinax of Mount Vernon, Illinois, who passed away on February 10, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Richard and Ione Irene Mullinax (McRill); his siblings, Randy, Roger Mullinax and Donna Rogers; and his sister-in-law Judy Mullinax.
He is survived by: his wife Beverly Jean Mullinax (Shields); his children, Donald "Dick" Mullinax Jr. (Dee) of Colleyville, Texas, Bart Mullinax (Donella) of Woodlawn, Illinois, Terrea Kirsch (Ron) of Mount Vernon, Illinois and Rannetta Fitzjerrells (James) of Mount Vernon, Illinois; his stepson Alan Edmondson (Megan) of Edwardsville, Illinois; his grandchildren, Kate McGaffigan (Blaine), Rebecca Johnson (Stephen), Ashley Gibbs (Wade), Ryan Richardson (Kassi), Matt Mullinax (Jill), Brecca Mullinax, Reese Edmonson, Riley Edmonson, Josiah Fitzjerrells (Mara), Jeremiah Fitzjerrells, Chandler Kirsch (Jenna), Erica Lippitt (Ben), Mallory Michaud (Chris) and Rachel McGowen (Dalton); his siblings, Jack Mullinax of Coppell, Texas, Joyce Sartin of Creal Springs, Illinois and Carla Mullinax of Mount Vernon, Illinois; and his siblings-in-law, Mirna Mullinax of Maryville, Indiana, Teresa Mullinax of Mount Vernon, Illinois and Rob Rogers of South Roxanna, Illinois. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
