He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence "Buck" McDaniel and Eloise "Short" McDaniel; and his siblings, Gene, Wayne McDaniel and Mary.
He is survived by: his wife Wilhelmina "Willy" Walters; his children, Diana Hayes of Dix, Michelle Rostollan (Mark) of Mount Vernon and Mike McDaniel (Doris) of Kell; his grandchildren, Chris Shelton (Kim), Taylor Hayes, Ashton Woodward, Marissa and Miranda Rostollan; his great grandchildren, Colton and Trenton Shelton; his niece Vickie Brumley (Charlie); and his great-niece Lori Joy (Greg). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
