It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Danny W. Nelson of Mount Vernon, Illinois, who passed away on September 20, 2021, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Vern Nelson and Alma Nelson (Troxtell); and his siblings, Beverly Damerow, Linda Behrle and Eugene Nelson.

He is survived by: his sons, Preston Nelson (Shaghayegh Karami) of Mount Vernon, Taylor Nelson of Mount Vernon and Kyle Nelson of Mount Vernon, Illinois; his grandchildren, Elliana Grace and Kruzick Nelson; his brother Gregg Nelson (Bev) of Woodlawn, Illinois; his brother-in-law Chuck Behrle of Dubois, Illinois; his pet Graybee; and the mother of his children Carol Adams (Friar) of Benton, Illinois..

Memorials may be made in Danny's honor to Voice of the Martyrs.
