He is survived by: his parents, Mark Oslager (Michele) of Mount Vernon, Illinois and Heather Deanne Rush (Montgomery) of Mount Vernon, Illinois; his siblings, Jailon Rush (Paige) of Mount Vernon, Joel Rush of Mount Vernon, Bradie Oslager (Shannon) of Columbia, Illinois and Brendalyn Rush of Louisville, Kentucky; his children, Brantley Montgomery of Mount Vernon, Illinois and MaKenzie Mick of Mount Vernon, Illinois; his aunts, Amy Neibel (Todd) of Carmi, Crystal Hemby (Mike) of Mount Vernon and Karen Harbin of Mount Vernon, Illinois; and his grandparents, Jerry Montgomery (Beverly) of Bonnie, Illinois and Bill Oslager (Carmen) of Mount Vernon, Illinois. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and, nephews.

Memorials may be made in Daniel's honor to a college fund for his children in care of Heather Rush.
