He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Grothoff and Alice Grothoff (Wiley); and his brother Larry Grothoff. He is survived by: his wife Linda Gelaine Grothoff (Vinsel); his son Gregory E. Grothoff (Cheri) of Tuscola, Illinois; and his siblings, Jim Grothoff (Lee Ann) of Longview, Lewis Grothoff (Trudy) of Opdyke and Canna Mellott (Dean) of Woodlawn, Illinois. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made in Curtis' honor to Logan Street Baptist Church.
