He was predeceased by: his parents, James Marvin and Peggy Leone Owens (Smith); and his brother Chris Owens Colby. He is survived by: his son Tallon Owens of Indianapolis, Indiana; his siblings, Corey Owens of Mount Vernon, Illinois and April Odle (David) of Chandler, Texas; and his nephew Damon Owens. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
