It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Celia Richardson of Mount Vernon, Illinois, born in Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas, who passed away on January 7, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Morgan and Hattie Etna Baber (Wheatley); her former spouse Bernie Lee Richardson, Sr. of Bluford; her siblings, Walter Baber (Hazel), Mansel Baber, Edgar Baber, Gipson Baber (Emogene), Fern Montgomery Warren (George) and Sarah Link (Gordon); her grandson Eric Shayne Montgomery; her niece Donna Marie Baber; and her nephews, Walter Montgomery, Daniel Montgomery, Mitchell Warren, Jerry Baber and Thomas Baber.

She is survived by: her son Bernie Lee Richardson, Jr.; her grandson David Lee Hicks-Richardson; her sister-in-law Juanita Baber; and her spouse Mount Vernon.

Memorials may be made in Celia's honor to Logan Street Baptist Church or Shriners Hospitals for Children in Shreveport, Louisiana.
