He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest Jeane Miller and Margaret Miller (Setter); his wife Donna Highsmith; his son Joshua; and his brother Eric.

He is survived by: his son Andrew; his daughter-in-law Lauren; his sister Jeannie Baker; his brother-in-law Butch Baker; his brother Pat Miller; and his sister-in-law Christine Miller. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made in Carl's honor to Summersville Grade School.
