It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Brenda Jo Elliott of Mount Vernon, Illinois, born in McLeansboro, Illinois, who passed away on June 10, 2021, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Thomas and Mary Thomas (Lenard); and her brothers, Alan Thomas and Keith Thomas. She is survived by: her husband Stan Elliott; her children, Shanyon Carter (Chris) of Fairview Heights and Josh Elliott (Tena) of Mount Vernon; her grandchildren, Jaxon Elliott, Jaci Elliott, Travin Elliott, Trace Elliott and Cassady Carter; her siblings, Steven Thomas, Janis Mitchell and Debra Wall; her nieces and nephews, Shane Emrich (Ambur), Lisa Gulley (Zack), Jack Thomas, Rachel O'Brien (Patrick) and Dylan Mitchell; her stepdaughter-in-law Tena; and her son-in-law Chris.
