Betty L. Shields Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty L. Shields of Mount Vernon, Illinois, who passed away on June 10, 2024 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter P. Whitlock and Ferne I. Whitlock (Purcell); and her husband Harry W. Shields. She is survived by: her sons, Harry L. Shields (Sherry) of Largo and Larry R. Shields (Doris) of Mt. Vernon; her grandchildren, James G. Shields (Leilani), Kristi K. Shields and Stephanie Green (Randy); her great grandchildren, Nick K. Green, Alicia, Tori R. Shoemaker (Jordan), Hunter Shields and Zoey Shields; and her sister-in-law Janice Metcalf Shields Krehbiel. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
