She was predeceased by: her father Jesse Clark; her husband Fred Justice, Jr.; her daughter Jill Justice; and her grandchildren, Doris Louise Garretson and Sean Justice.

She is survived by: her children, Janet Garretson (Richard) of Mount Vernon, John Justice (Frankie) of Mount Vernon, James Justice (Cathy) of Nashville, Jeffrey Justice of Winston Salem and Jay Justice of Lewisville; her grandchildren, Jessica Hall (Brett), Jennifer Kelly (Benjamin), William Garretson, Mark Justice, Aaron Justice (Alicia), Joshua Justice (Heather), Stephanie Wolfe (Gregg) and Jessie Keegan; and her sister Mary Anne Cantrell. She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made in Betty's honor to Logan Street Baptist Church.
