She was predeceased by: her parents, William Owen and Gertrude Embry (Lindsey); her husband James Russell Stewart; and her siblings, Harold, Lawrence, William, Ben Embry and Hazel Anderson.

She is survived by: her children, James Russell "Rusty" Stewart, Jr. of Walnut Creek, Robert Graham Stewart (Dee Ann) of Mount Vernon, Illinois and Carol Lindsey Stewart of Mount Vernon, Illinois; her grandchildren, Philip Stewart Blackwood of Mount Vernon, Cameron James Stewart of Indianapolis and Paisley Jane Stewart of Athens, Georgia; and her great grandchild Lucas David Blackwood. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
