She was predeceased by: her parents, John "Dan" Hooker and Carrie Hooker (Strunk); and her husband Howard "Gene" Elkins. She is survived by: her children, Martin Elkins (Joan) of St. Louis and Denise Steffy (John) of Mt. Vernon; her grandchildren, Andrew Elkins (Linh Hua) of Los Angeles, Glen Elkins (Katy) of Arvada, Lauren Guenther (Matt) of Nashville, Andrea Buck (Asa) of Opdyke and Christina Pierce (Brian) of Wentzville, Missouri; her sister Brenda Richmond (Johnny) of Herrin; and her siblings-in-law, Glenda Hooker, Don Elkins and Dick Elkins. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
