She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy O. Bauer and Rose Elizabeth "Betty" Bauer (Rhodes); her husband Robert J. Blackburn; her sister Betty Werner; and her granddaughters, Rachel E. Blackburn and Chelsea Jo Blackburn.
She is survived by: her sons, Kirk J. Blackburn (Sapna) and Brian J. Blackburn (Deann); her niece Linda Munro (Werner); her grandchildren, Robert A. Blackburn (Dana) and Casey Jean Blackburn; her great grandchildren, Brayton, Brenna and Brooklyn Blackburn; and her great-niece Laura Hazlett (Mercer).
In lieu of flowers memorial donations are suggested for Niemann-Pick Type C research to the National Niemann-Pick Disease Foundation at nnpdf.org.
