He was predeceased by: his parent Jesse Holder Smith. He is survived by: his former wife Judith O'Block Woodward; his children, Laura Moreland of Sidell, Blake Smith (Cathy), Mike Woodward (Alicia), Susan (Paul Maynard) and Lisa Bailey (Dave); and his wife Marjorie Smith Benoist (Risley). He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made in Anson's memory to Carle Hospice or Smith Cemetery.
