We bid farewell to Glenn Raines of Mount Sterling, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 27, 2025 at the age of 80. Glenn touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, L. Clifford Raines and Lillie May Wilson Raines; his brother Lester C. Raines; his stepdaughter Stacie Rensch Ellis; his in-laws, William and Alice Barrett; and his brother-in-law Jurl Southerland.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Raines; his stepsons, Chris and James Rensch; his grandchildren, Thomas, Tyler, Wesley, Reagan Rensch, Pierson Raines Ellis, Timothy Allen Ellis and Lindie McCarthy Alsdorf (Samuel); his brothers, Robert Raines (Jean) of Bella Vista and Earl Raines of Lovell, Wyoming.; and his siblings-in-law, Sue Raines of Louisburg, Peggy Southerland of Brooklyn, Illinois. and Thomas Barrett (Shirley) of Brooklyn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hendricker Funeral Home (406 S Capitol Ave, Mt Sterling, IL 62353). A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The inurnment was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at the Mount Sterling City Cemetery (1017 810 E St, Mt Sterling, IL 62353).
