He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Edward and Dottie Pearl Catlett Hedden; his brothers, Dorwin "Salty", Gordon "Burnett", Robert and DeWayne Hedden; his daughter Cindy Coats; and his grandson Jason Hedden.

He is survived by: his wife Dona Hedden of Swansea; his children, Bruce Hedden (Debbie) of Mt. Sterling, Connie Langan (Tom) of Mt. Sterling, Patsy Buss of Elmwood, Tina Bilzing (Brian) of Swansee and Rick Harper (Karen) of Clarksville, Tennessee.; and his son-in-law Ed Coats of Rushville.

Memorials are suggested to the Mt. Sterling Catholic Cemetery, St. Mary's School or Brown County Against Cancer.
