With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth A Schaffenacker (Mount Pulaski, Illinois), born in Chestnut, Illinois, who passed away on December 8, 2019 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Aukamp and Vera Aukamp (Knauer); her husband Wayne Schaffenacker; her daughter Gloria Kay Rutherford; and her brother Eugene Aukamp.
She is survived by: her children, Ronald Schaffenacker (Patricia) of Lincoln and Diane R. Douglas of McKinney, TX; her grandchildren, Jennifer Wilham (Aaron), Alicia Schaffenacker, Nikki Marten (Daniel), Christopher Schaffenacker (Melissa), Blake Douglas (Jude), Rachel Jeffries (Vaughnteis) and Brooke Douglas; her great grandchildren, Kaylee, Makenna, Karsyn, Emarie, Elayna, Elyssa, Logan, Nolan, Duncan, Jameson, Aliyah, Vaughnteis, Ayvah and Viari; her brothers, Delmar Aukamp (Carol) of Springfield and Don Aukamp (Dee) of Woods Hole, MA; and her sister-in-law Shirley Aukamp of Lincoln.
Memorial donations may be made in Ruth's name to Zion Lutheran Church, Zion Lutheran School, or Vonderlieth Living Center.
