He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Leroy and Mildred Ruth Benson. He is survived by: his spouse Robin Sellers; his children, Jennifer Benson (Colorado), Kari Conroy (Joseph) of Maryland and Thomas Benson (Nebraska); his sister Leora Briggs (Frank) of Oklahoma; his nephew Anthony Briggs (Oklahoma); and his stepsons, Bryan Pepper (JoAnne) of Illinois and Jeffrey Pepper (California). He is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 3 step grandchildren.
