He was predeceased by: his parents, Junior Pharis and Maymie Pharis (Smith). He is survived by: his wife Penny J. Hatfield; his children, Laura Pharis (Bob Richardson II) of Mt. Pulaski, Mandi Kruse (John) of Salem, IN and Aaron Wilham (Jennifer) of Mt. Pulaski; his grandchildren, Brady, Garrett, Wyatt, Kaylee, Tanner, Bodi, Makenna and Karsyn; and his brother Eddie Pharis (Jane) of Mt. Pulaski.

Memorial donations may be made in Gary's name to Memorial Home Hospice.
