She was predeceased by: her parent Jean Hupp (Merry); and her brother Robert E. Hupp. She is survived by: her spouse Robert A. "Bob" Cowan Sr.; and her children, Robert Cowan Jr. (Nancy) of Springfield, IL, Randy Cowan (Paula) of Spaulding, IL, Scott Cowan of Decatur, IL, Michael Cowan (Melinda) of Beason, IL, Wayne Cowan (Ann) of Lexington, KY and Christopher Cowan (Amy) of Clinton, IL. She is also survived by 31 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren.
