He was predeceased by: his parents, Won Book Song and Seung Ja Yoo; his wife Pung Ja Song; and his brothers-in-law, James Hwang and Kwang Jo Lee.
He is survived by: his children, Sharon Lee (Jin Woo), Solomon Song (Jinny) and John Song (Angie); his grandchildren, Nathaniel Lee, Krisalyn Lee, Ephraim Lee, SJ Song, Christine Song, Ryan Song, AJ Song and Matthew Song; and his siblings, Tae Hwan Song, Ted Song (Mee), Tae Jun Noh (Eui), Hae Sun Cho (Tom), Joy Hwang and Hae Sook Song. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces and their spouses and their great nephews and great nieces.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Matz Mt. Prospect Funeral Chapel, Inc. (410 E Rand Rd, Mt Prospect, IL 60056). A burial was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Memorial Park Cemetery (9900 Gross Point Rd, Skokie, IL 60076).
