She was predeceased by: her spouse Gerald. She is survived by: her children, Karen Koven (Thomas), Dale Kiffel and Kris Schuetz (Bruce); her grandchildren, Paul Rohr (Linsay) and Katherine Rohr; her great grandchildren, Cannon, Charlie and Crosby; and her stepgrandchildren, Benjamin, Kelly and Daniel.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Katie Samsel Fund at CCSD 21 Gill Administration Center 999 W Dundee Rd. Wheeling, IL 60090, a charity to help families in need in the School District 21 (Wheeling) area, are appreciated.
