He was predeceased by: his siblings, Mary Cosgrove (Jack), John (Anne), Bridie Corbett (Paddy), Margaret O'Brien (Peter), Kathleen Tierney (Paddy), Anne Coleman (Michael) and Barbara Glynn (Mike).
He is survived by: his wife Helena; his children, Kevin Conroy (Kelli), Barbara Jones (Scott), Brian Conroy and Theresa Jacobs (John); his grandchildren, Danny, Ethan Conroy (Natalie), Kersti, Sarah, Connor, Gavin Buckley, Devin Conroy and Grayson Jacobs; and his siblings, Mick (late Sara) and Padraig.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 1st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cooney Funeral Home (625 Busse Hwy, Park Ridge, IL 60068). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St Emily Catholic Church (1400 E Central Rd, Mt Prospect, IL 60056).
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Colum welcomed to The Parkinsons Foundation http://parkinson.org.
