Shirley Claire Viehweg Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Claire Viehweg (Mount Olive, Illinois), who passed away on March 15, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Gerdes and Clara Gerdes (Heeren); her husband Robert Viehweg (Bob); and her sister Jerilyn Jo Gerdes. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Tara Conneally (Adam Gallegos) of Chicago, IL, Timothy Underwood of Chicago, IL and Andrew Underwood of Racine; her cousin Dorothy Bailey (Sophie "Sophie Doo") of Independence, KS; and also, LuAnn Underwood (Mike) of Racine, WI, William "Bill" Viehweg (Tammy) of Staunton, IL and Diane Baggerly (Steve) of Springfield, IL. She is also survived by cat and companion and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (111 E Main St, Mt Olive, IL 62069).
