He was predeceased by: his parents, John Steven of Mt. Olive, Illinois. and Anna Yancik (Tomso) of Mt. Olive, Illinois.; his sister Ruthmary Zubal; his brother-in-law Clarence Zubal; his brother Robert Yancik; and his brother-in-law Tom Dobrino.

He is survived by: his wife Norma Jean Loeffler; his children, Steve Yancik (Jeanice), David Yancik (Jo Marie), Phyllis Kasten (Dan) and Diane McPherson (Bryan); his grandchildren, Taylor Yancik, Tanner Yancik (Hailey), Kyle Kasten, Andrew Yancik and Jonathon Yancik; his sisters, Joan Langewisch and Clara Dobrino; and his sister-in-law Kathleen Yancik. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Memorials are suggested to Chapman Cemetery and Mt. Olive Academic Foundation.
