David John Yancik Obituary

The memory of David John Yancik of Mount Olive, Illinois, who passed away on January 25, 2025 at the age of 89, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Steven of Mt. Olive, Illinois. and Anna Yancik (Tomso) of Mt. Olive, Illinois.; his sister Ruthmary Zubal; his brother-in-law Clarence Zubal; his brother Robert Yancik; and his brother-in-law Tom Dobrino.

He is survived by: his wife Norma Jean Loeffler; his children, Steve Yancik (Jeanice), David Yancik (Jo Marie), Phyllis Kasten (Dan) and Diane McPherson (Bryan); his grandchildren, Taylor Yancik, Tanner Yancik (Hailey), Kyle Kasten, Andrew Yancik and Jonathon Yancik; his sisters, Joan Langewisch and Clara Dobrino; and his sister-in-law Kathleen Yancik. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John Paul II Catholic Parish Church (705 E Main St, Mt Olive, IL 62069). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
