With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Darlene Elizabeth Butterbaugh of Mount Morris, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Darlene Elizabeth left this world on January 9, 2025 at the age of 98, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Butterbaugh and Orpha Butterbaugh (Gilbert); her siblings, Harold Butterbaugh, Velda Block, Lois Kesselring, Viola Holtz and Marian Miller; her husband Dean Butterbaugh; her daughter Sue Weiser; her son-in-law Michael Payne; and her son Edward Butterbaugh.
She is survived by: her daughter Jean Payne; her grandchildren, Jennifer Bergstrom (Chris), Erin Godbold (Tim) and Josh Halter (Jessica); and her great grandchildren, Emma, John Godbold, Brady Wheeler, Melany Staley (Ethan), Kylee, Haylee Halter and Isabella Bergstrom. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:30 AM and from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM. A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens (1121 N Galena Ave, Dixon, IL 61021).
Memorials may be given to the Sinnisippi Foundation Good Samaritan Fund, or Loaves and Fish Food Pantry in Mt. Morris, IL.
