Vereal left this world on February 27, 2025 at the age of 92, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. Though Vereal may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her father Melvin Green; her husband William R. Sutton; her son-in-law Danny Humphreys; and her siblings, Vivian Hoehn and Charles Green.
She is survived by: her mother Margaret Carter (Garold); and her children, Fred Sutton, William Sutton (Mary), Jeffrey Sutton (Missy), Alice Jacobs and Jean Humphreys. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home (1500 N Cherry St, Mt Carmel, IL 62863). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Keepes Funeral Home (1500 N Cherry St, Mt Carmel, IL 62863).
