It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Jean Walters Bennett (Mount Carmel, Illinois), born in Harrisburg, Illinois, who passed away on May 31, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Taylor and Rosa Ann Rudd Walters; her husband Wendell D. Bennett; and her son Steve. She is survived by: her children, Gloria Darlene Bennett Miller (Herman) and William Doug Bennett (Debbie); and her grandchildren, Bradley, Jeremy, Anthony, Brook, Steve, Matthew, Raven and Taylor. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
