She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorthy Meritt and Carson Meritt; and her siblings, Harold, Leland Meritt and Kathryn Cowling.
She is survived by: her family Christian; her husband Andy Hocking of Mt. Carmel; her children, Shelley Richardson (Kim) of Mt. Carmel, Gayla Rooney (Alan) of Mt. Carmel, Jana Clements (Justin) of Evansville and Patrick Hocking (Cindy) of Evansville; her grandchildren, Lindsey Dee (Joe), Ashley Kanipe (Zach), Brittney Ishmael (Jason), Kyle Peach (Jill Winter), Ryan Peach, Sean Rooney (Chrissy), Jake Clements (Kelley), Kacie Hayes (Tanner), Connor Clements (Maddie) and Aaryn Clayton; and her sisters, Mary Lou Jeffers of Mt. Carmel and Eva Smith of Albion. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
