He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold L. Smith and Iris Smith (Stalions); and his sister-in-law Paula Smith. He is survived by: his sons, Levitt Smith (Megan) and Cole Smith; his grandchildren, Cameron and Jaxson Smith; and his brothers, Christopher Smith (Laura), Steve Smith (Connie), Timothy Smith and Dave Smith (Debbie). He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
